Regional Partnership Grants (RPG) are federal grants that support regional partnerships of child welfare agencies, substance use treatment providers, and other social services systems working together to improve the safety, permanency, and well-being for children affected by parental substance abuse disorders. We subcontracted to Mathematica on this project.

Challenge

Users entering data into the RPG data system often had questions, and administrators noticed some common data entry errors. The Children’s Bureau needed a clear, engaging way to help users navigate the system and reduce errors.

Solution

Drawing on our instructional design and animation expertise, we created a series of seven training videos. Each short and engaging video addressed frequent user challenges and provided step-by-step guidance in an accessible, easy-to-follow format.

Results

Users of the RPG data system are now better prepared to enter data. This leads to more efficient data processing and less time and resources dedicated to technical assistance.

E-learning Development

To help users of the RPG’s data entry system input their data with fewer questions and errors, we developed a series of seven animated training videos. Our team applied adult learning theory to create punchy, engaging content that addresses common user challenges and prepares users to navigate the system with confidence. The final product is 508 compliant.
