Scaling Impact with Marketing and Learning Solutions

Think Small is a Minnesota-based nonprofit providing services, resources, and advocacy to strengthen early childhood care and education within Minnesota and across the country. The organization also operates the Think Small Institute, a national training and professional development platform, and Redleaf Press, a leading publisher of resources for early childhood providers.
Challenge
Think Small wanted to increase outreach to its audience of early childhood education providers, families, and national stakeholders. The organization had recently completed a large rebranding effort, but lacked the design and communications capacity to fully implement it.
Solution
Drawing on our design and marketing expertise and deep experience in the early childhood field, we work closely with Think Small to expand their reach. We’ve helped develop messaging, designed resources, created e-learning modules, managed social media and email campaigns, and produced more than 200 graphics.
Results
Think Small’s marketing materials and communications now align more closely with its brand and mission, strengthening its online presence and engagement with key audiences. Through our collaborative processes and responsive approach, we continue to partner with Think Small and support its current and future communications needs.

Digital Marketing and Resource Development
To help Think Small better communicate with its key audiences, we recommended a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy. We created materials to promote the organization’s programs and services, developed messaging, and amplified outreach through A+ Amazon content, videos, social media graphics, and e-newsletter templates.
Print Marketing and Resource Development
To help Think Small reach its audience through print and in-person engagement, we designed tri-fold brochures, a 60+ page catalog, large-format banners, and conference swag. These materials elevated Think Small’s vibrant new branding while keeping the needs of diverse early childhood professionals at the center.

Logo and Icon Development
To support the rollout of Think Small’s refreshed brand, we updated a series of project logos and developed new icons to align with the new visual identity. Our expertise in early childhood allowed us to streamline the process, minimizing revisions and getting updated branding into the hands of audiences more quickly.
E-learning Series
To make Think Small’s training more accessible and engaging, our instructional designers worked with subject matter experts to develop a suite of mobile-friendly, interactive e-learning modules. We designed 20 hours of content in Articulate Storyline, collaborating on scripts, voiceovers, characters, and interactive elements.

Scenario-based Learning
To help learners apply key concepts in real-world settings, we developed a series of scenario-based whiteboard animations as part of the e-learning series. These stories use graphics, animation, and voiceover to present relatable situations that help early childhood educators apply course content.
Catalog
To create a refreshed catalog aligned with Think Small’s updated brand, we helped their publishing division, Redleaf Press, rebuild its 60+ page direct mailer. We established a clear content collection and design review process to meet the team’s vision and keep the project moving smoothly. The new templates now make future catalog updates far more efficient. Once finalized, we coordinated with Think Small’s printer to ensure every print file met production specifications.
