Building Strong Early Childhood Systems

Quality early learning experiences are the foundation for children’s healthy development and lifelong learning. Further, strong early care and education systems support families, employers, and the broader workforce.

TriMetrix works with national, state, local, and nonprofit organizations to strengthen systems that expand access to high-quality early care and education. We partner with early childhood leaders to design coordinated, community-responsive solutions grounded in real-world implementation.

Areas of Expertise

Our team brings deep, hands-on experience across key early childhood topic areas in states and territories across the country. Our early childhood areas of expertise include:

Cross-Sector Understanding

Our team of early childhood experts brings experience from across the field, including state and local systems administration, policy, professional development, and coaching. Many TriMetrix team members have worked in direct service roles as educators or administrators, bringing lived experience that informs our approach to system design, implementation, and continuous improvement efforts that reflect the realities of providers and families.

Expanding Early Childhood Apprenticeship Programs

Alongside our partners, we established ECWC to help organizations develop and expand early childhood apprenticeship opportunities. Through this work, we partner with state agencies, local and regional workforce boards, and early care and education programs to provide customized technical assistance, partner engagement, and practical resources. This collaboration helps partners across the country strengthen apprenticeship pathways and connect more learners to meaningful career opportunities.

Scaling Impact with Marketing and Learning Solutions

We partner with Minnesota-based nonprofit Think Small to expand its reach and engagement with providers, families, and national audiences. Drawing on our expertise in design, marketing, and learning solutions, we support Think Small through the development of strategic messaging, e-learning modules, custom graphics, and resources aligned with their mission. Our work together strengthens Think Small’s brand presence and communication strategy, helping them connect more effectively with early childhood audiences and sustain ongoing outreach.

Advancing the Effective Use of Child Care Subsidy Funds

On behalf of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Child Care, we operate NCSIA to help states, territories, and Tribes use federal child care subsidy funds more effectively. Our technical assistance, research, and program integrity support help CCDF Lead Agencies reduce barriers to access, improve compliance, and strengthen administrative systems that support families and providers. This collaboration advances more accurate, equitable, and efficient use of child care subsidy resources nationwide.
