Building a Thoughtful Approach to AI

Many TriMetrix staff members and project teams use artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance efficiency and support decision-making in their work. As integration of AI tools has grown across the organization, we identified an opportunity to take a more coordinated and intentional approach.

Earlier this year, TriMetrix formed an internal AI workgroup made up of staff with experience and interest in AI. The workgroup meets regularly to exchange insights, discuss emerging tools, and explore real-world use cases relevant to our services and operations. These conversations help staff better understand both the opportunities and limitations of AI and support informed decision-making rather than isolated experimentation.

A key focus of the workgroup is developing organizational guidelines for AI use. Grounded in principles such as privacy, security, ethics, and data governance, these guidelines will help ensure consistency and accountability while protecting sensitive information and maintaining trust with clients and partners.

Throughout this work, human judgment remains central. AI is viewed as a tool to enhance quality, consistency, and efficiency, while accountability and decision-making stay with people. By sharing learning across teams, TriMetrix is strengthening its ability to integrate AI thoughtfully and responsibly.
