The Administration for Community Living (ACL) recently updated its Elder Justice websites to reflect a new color scheme. The Adult Protective Services Technical Assistance Resource Center (APS TARC) operates one of the Elder Justice websites. APS TARC turned to the Learning and Resource Center for assistance incorporating the new colors into its branding.

The LRC amplified the new color scheme by developing an APS TARC-specific color palette, blending APS TARC’s previous blue and purple with the new color scheme for the Elder Justice website. This kept brand consistency for APS TARC’s current audiences, while building a much broader color palette. The broader color palette provides designers with many more options while still adhering to Section 508 accessibility color contrast requirements. The designers also provided APS TARC with new design elements to add visual motion to its communications materials.

This updated branding has been implemented in all materials the LRC creates for APS TARC, such as icons, presentations, email designs, booth displays, motion graphics, flyers, and research briefs and reports.
